Annual Garden Party Success!

BOSC kicked off a spring campaign at the annual Garden Party in May to raise support of stewardship for public lands, recreational trails, natural resources and sensitive habitat and species in Boulder. With your help, more than $12,000 was raised for the spectacular lands that make Boulder, Boulder.
We also honored Dr. Oak Thorne, II with the first BOSC Legacy Award for his six decades of leadership and service to open space in Boulder. Oak was one of the very active citizen leaders in Boulder who mobilized the community to pass the Greenbelt Sales Tax in 1967. Boulder made history becoming the first city in the U.S. to vote to tax themselves to preserve and protect open space lands.
