Now Offering Nature Strolls!
We live in a such a special place, and so many people especially love Mount Sanitas! Have you ever wondered where the name ‘Sanitas’ came from? What stories do the rocks tell us about the geologic history of the land here? What are the birds we hear in the trees and what are the pretty wildflowers along the trail? How can we be stewards of Mount Sanitas, and other special places in Boulder?
To help answer some of these curiosities, BOSC is offering Nature Stroll programs for adults and older adult communities. Nature Strolls are easy-moderate hikes on the Mount Sanitas Valley Trail, or other beautiful trails in Boulder, to connect with these special places, each other and ourselves. As we meander along the trail, we will learn a little bit about the history – and their potential future – plus the flora and fauna we see or hear along the trail.
Nature Strolls are offered by Alyson Duffey, BOSC Executive Director, and staff from OSMP Education and Outreach. Contact Alyson with questions and/or to schedule a stroll for your group in 2025.
